Depending on your reservation wire, we move from your hotel or from an address for our Bayburt Baksı Museum and Ovit Tunnel tour.
We continue our journey along the İkizdere Valley and arrive at the Ovit Tunnel. With its 14.3 kilometers leght, the tunnel is the longest length in Europe and world's second longest double-tube highway tunnel. The Ovit Tunnel, which was put into service in June 2018, passes at a speed of 70 km / h in 13 minutes, leaving behind a rich rain and rich natural beauty for a while. When we pass the tunnel, we find ourselves in a different geography and different climatic conditions. We continue our journey along the Çoruh River and then we arrive at Baksı Museum from Bayraktar Village road.
The Baksı Museum, built on 40 acres of land by artist and academician Prof. Dr. Husamettin from Bayburt Bayraktar Village, was awarded the 2014 Council of Europe Museum Award. After visiting the Baksı Museum, where modern and traditional arts are exhibited at the same place and had lunch break, we move to Aydıntepe Underground City.
It is assumed that early period Christians lived in the underground city located in Aydıntepe district center, 15km from Bayburt. After the Aydıntepe Underground City tour, which consists of galleries carved into the rock, planned rooms close to the square and larger spaces where these rooms are opened, we move to the city center of Bayburt.
